PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS The Lutheran Church-Canada began its service to God and man this, the First Day of January, 1989, and

WHEREAS God’s Word instructs that “unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain that build it,” (Ps . 127, 1)

I, THEREFORE, CALL UPON ALL MEMBERS OF THE LUTHERAN CHURCH-CANADA 

…to humble themselves before God, confessing their sins and imploring His mercy in Jesus Christ,

…to lift up their hearts and voices, praising God for yesterday’s blessings and tomorrow’s opportunities,

…to recommit themselves to the hearing and reading of God’s Word, and

…to be fervent and frequent in prayer, eager and willing in their witness.
